Fern is one special girl. She was the single puppy from our first breeding. She was such a beautiful girl with loads of personality that we decided to keep her. She certainly takes after her dad in terms of size, bone and her goofy temperament - but kept the "pretty" of her mom. I love her head. She has the neatest way about her - she keeps us laughing with her antics. Everything she does is done with a full dose of humour.

As beautiful as Fern is - we decided to spay her. At four years of age, her back end is still extremely high - causing her to have a rear with structure unsuitable for breeding. A mastiff with a very 'straight' rear end can be susceptible to injury and we don't want to risk passing that trait on to puppies. So far, we've been lucky and Fern continues to lead an active life.
