We lost Bree this past spring to histiocytic sarcoma.  The symptoms came on so suddenly - before we knew it she was gone.  She was a wild woman – with an incredible spirit and a wicked sense of humour.  She had such a sweet demeanour, but underneath lied an imp.  She delighted in mischief, while possessing the uncanny ability to appear completely innocent.  

Bree taught us so many things about living life to the fullest:

First, that you have to derive the fullest pleasure from the smallest things: rolling in the grass first thing on a sunny, dewy morning; raiding the pea patch (despite the consequences); chasing the ever elusive rabbits or just breaking into circles of glee because life is so good.

She taught us that food is meant to be enjoyed.  I’ve never met a dog who enjoyed eating quite so much.

She taught us that if someone else has something you want – it is perfectly okay to nip their ears and run away quickly.

She also taught us that being at home with your family is the absolute best place in the world.

Rest in peace, baby girl.
